A One Day Retreat in Texas to experience freedom through the grace of biblical celebration

this is for the woman who:

Is in a season of Joy and/or

In a season of Grief

Is In the valley

Is On the outside looking in

isn't feeling worthy of celebration

Is On the hilltop

Is soaking up a season of Joy

Is wanting to remember His purposes for her

Is pessimistic when good comes her way

Is wanting to throw in the towel

Forgot how to trust

Struggles to receive affirmation

Is Excited about where God has her

 Doesn't know what is next

Ultimately, this is for the woman who holds the tension of grief and joy co-existing.

If any of these sounds like you. Even If only one thing - come to Lantana.

There is a crucial difference between celebration and escape. Celebration is able to hold the reality of pain and joy at the same time. It acknowledges and grieves many evidence that our world is not as it should be. But it is also firm in its conviction that the kingdom of God is coming and is also here right now.
— Nicole Zasowski, What if it's wonderful?

I believe the heartbeat of the bible is celebration.

From the moment in creation when He says “it is good” to the hopeful celebration of when Jesus comes back.

Timothy Keller says so eloquently

“Jesus sat in the midst of joy sipping the coming sorrow, so we can sit in the midst of sorrow and sip the coming joy.”

Hear from amazing celebrators who have been in the valleys low and mountains high. Eat and fellowship with women who value connection and long for intimacy with Jesus no matter where they sit in the tension.  I am so excited for the women who are willing to link arms together to make this happen. Here is also a little glimpse of the topics they are experts in and their background!

Dani Hardy - The Art of Remembering

Nicole Zasowski - Author of What if it's Wonderful?

Anne Harrison - Discipleship

Jayme Wood - Our identity and the enneagram

Cari Trotter - Becoming Ministry

Margie Frank - Rhythms of Celebration

Sydney Frank - Worship

Savannah Wheeler

What will we do?

Lantana is a one day retreat in Wichita Falls, Texas where we will hold the space for women to come and experience depth and intimacy with Jesus through celebration, but Jesus tells us to remember… a lot actually.

  • Remember what God has done

  • Remember who He is

  • Remember who we were

  • Acknowledge who we are now and where He has brought us

  • We will sit shoulder to shoulder with other women and learn what celebration with Him looks like for you.

  • Reflect on what lies you have been believing that hinder you from celebrating the grace of the gospel.

  • Remember our stories in the valley’s and on the hilltops

  • Cultivate conversation with a community of women as we all hold the space for the tension of grief and joy.

A Note From The Flower Momma

Dreaming + Doing

That’s been my MO for a decade now if not more. 10 years ago when I received that book I was holding from @jenn_jett, I felt so seen and understood among the pages.

A prayer I repeat often for my Sadie Bug is that the good take root, and that the bad go unnoticed - right over her head. Lately with what has been stirring in my heart, and in the beginning stages of coming to fruition, it has had me reflecting on what has caught my attention? What made me turn my head sideways?

10 years ago I was a college girl that was super ambitious with big plans for the flower shop. I followed every flower shop known to man on Instagram. I was sitting in that tension that I am sure most of you mommas see in your ambitious daughters - she doesn't do well on a leash but you know she isn't quite ready to fly on her own. I wanted to own the flower shop - yesterday. My parents weren't ready to sell, and lets be real I was in no position to buy as I was in the thick of college, engagement and more.

But I could still dream. One flower shop I loved following was Stems in Dallas. They shared that they were having a kinship summit filled with amazing speakers right there in their studio! Truth be told, what caught my attention here was @catherinegiudici from The Bachelorette was on the panel . “Cool, I can see their studio and maybe snap a fangirl pic with Catherine.” Ticketmaster…. ticket for one please! (Don't worry - no problems like the T-Swift concert here.)
I still admire the heck out of this obedient 19 year old Jenny.

✨I did see their studio.
✨I did not get the fan girl picture.
✨I did leave with a weird call that I didn't fully understand for a long time.

I remember leaving that event with tears in my eyes all the way home. Can I tell you what I heard? no. Can I tell you what I saw? yes. I felt the prompt and sweet very faint whisper say

“you are going to do this one day”

I had no clue what that meant. What exactly is this you speak of??

In my time at @campwellsummit this year I really struggled with identifying my strengths. I discovered them only to think they were boring laid out in front of me. @terrimflannagan graciously helped me by piecing the puzzle together.

She grabbed a random paper and wrote this down intertwining the characteristics He gave me:
“I delight in learning to share with others and am driven by my ability to do so. I waste little time because I am energized by opportunities and possibilities. It means a lot when people WANT to spend time with me and lean in and listen and take me seriously. I transform hope into reality. I believe there is more than one way to look at things and my friendliness makes people comfortable.”

Why am I sharing this with you?

It didn't make sense to me for a long time until The Flower Momma community started. Having conversations with women daily, praying for them, looking for ways to encourage and inspire them, and most importantly- help them celebrate well through intimacy with Jesus.
I have loved Helping them celebrate and remember why it is important to have those rhythms of celebration in our life.
We celebrate to REMEMBER He is still good and He is still faithful. The intimate conversations daily, leaned in, that event 10 years ago in a flower-shop and a whisper seemed to become more clear as time went on.

It has been no secret that my heart beats for celebration. From growing up in the shop celebrating other to understanding how He uniquely created me in His image.

One thing is a constant this side of heaven, we will all hold the tension of grief and joy until Jesus returns.

Lantana's are a fun and joyful looking floom. What stuck out to me about Lantanas-
They can be cut back to nothing (flush with the ground) and endure extremely high temperatures and still come back blooming.

Oftentimes I think we think we can only celebrate when something good has happened. Or we have earned something or as my friend @nicolezasowski would say “a dream realized”.

We will all roll our sleeves up as we deep dive and do some soul work! Through panel discussions, amazing individual messages, table discussion, worship, recording of a live podcast episode, Q&A and of course what is an event about celebration without dancing? I have been beyond hesitant to share this dream for a few months. This dream is something that He began placing on my heart over a decade ago. Placing it out to the world, I was afraid to look foolish. Prideful much? Yes. but it is the honest truth.

Thank you for being here and thank you for being a part of this community. I love being your chief celebrating officer through life.

Early Bird access will open January 31st. This will be open to any and all women who hold the tension of grief and joy co-existing.

“But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall.”
‭‭Malachi‬ ‭4:2‬ ‭

Seats will be limited to 30. We are prayerful that you will join us as we hold the space to remember your story and all He has done in your life.

Notes to you from our leaders

“Beloved. Are your hands weary from holding tight the tension of grief and joy? Do you need time to release the rope and pause into fully trusting our Savior? Perhaps you are still trying to wrap your mind around trusting Him completely and releasing the tension. Take a breath sweet sister. I see you. I am for you. Weary hands need the soothing salve of the nail scarred hands of a Savior and that's what I pray you discover at Lantana. I pray you encounter a love so deep that you surrender your greatest grief and receive your greatest joy. I pray you are forever changed through the tension that didn't take you out, but instead spurred you onward.”

- Lantana Leader, Dani Hardy/ The Art of Remembering

Girl, I get you. And, one of the most impactful things I learned, when I was early in this adulting thing was, God can handle every emotion I have. If He created me, He can handle me. Every part. There’s a freeing realization being reminded that He’s holy, intimate, and chooses me. Let that sweep over you and settle into your soul.
— Lantana Leader, Jayme Wood / Enneagram, Truth & Lies
Grief is not linear. Joy does not expire. There is a way to hold hands with both by faith. It takes surrender and letting go of expectations, but holding hands with both grief and joy leads to a fully known and deeply loved life.
— Lantana Leader, Cari Trotter/ Holding Grief and Joy
